Sonic Youth’s ‘Sunday’ on 3 acoustic guitars

Here’s a small YouTube channel I like a lot: the recently renamed ‘Sonic Youth Acoustic Project’. “A Thousand Trees” is a great mid-career SY album that doesn’t get the credit and remembrance it deserves, although indie fans my age might recall the ‘Sunday’ video. It featured Macauley Culkin—a moment of mild resurgence, as he’d quickly dropped out of the public eye after his mid-90s career peak—and then-partner Rachel Miner. This video captures the song’s eerie energy well.
